When I arrived at the campsite on Saturday morning, the mosquitoes were fierce. Strangely, this was our worst experience with the bugs during the entire weekend.
After setting up camp, we headed to the beach which was bug-free. There, the sun was strong and the ocean refreshing. Several of us went swimming, with or without bathing suits.
A few people ate dinner at the campsite, and then we all hiked to the Casino (a restaurant) in Davis Park one mile away. Those who had already eaten ordered soups or appetizers, and the rest had complete dinners.
The sky was dark and moonless when we left the restaurant, and the stars were especially numerous. With binoculars, we saw the moons of Jupiter and several star clusters.
We packed up on Sunday and enjoyed the beach again, but the wind picked up in the afternoon and the temperature dropped. Most of us left on the 4:30 PM ferry, although one person stayed on till Monday.
