Seven people travelled to New York’s Adirondack Park, five adults and two children. We stayed in Upper Jay and did winter sports in Lake Placid and Wilmington. Three of us cross-country skiied all three days at the Verizon Sports Complex at Mt. van Hovenberg. The other four divided their time between ice skating, downhill skiing and snowboarding. On Sunday the temperature was in the single-digits for most of the day, and the slopes and trails were noticeably emptier than on Saturday. We also looked at the Ice Festival in Saranac Lake on Saturday afternoon.
